At Puzzle Creative, we recently had the pleasure of working with Debbie Watkins of Basingstoke Mediation Service to transform her online presence. The goal was simple: create a modern, professional brand and design her website that clearly communicates the value of mediation while making it easier for prospective clients to understand the service and get in touch.
Basingstoke Mediation Service provides a constructive alternative to court proceedings, helping individuals and organisations resolve disputes through a structured process guided by an impartial mediator. The aim is to enable parties to communicate openly, understand each other’s perspectives, and find solutions together in a confidential and supportive environment.
However, like many mediation practices, the previous website did not fully reflect the quality of the service or support Debbie’s ambitions to grow the practice. That’s where our rebranding and digital strategy work came in.
A Fresh Brand, Design and Visual Identity
The project began with a complete brand refresh, including a redesigned logo and visual identity. Our aim was to create a look and feel that communicates professionalism, calmness, and trust - qualities that are essential in mediation services.
The new brand provides a consistent visual language across the website and other marketing materials, helping the practice stand out while reinforcing Debbie’s expertise and approachable style.
A Modern, Client-Focused Website
We then designed and developed a new website for Basingstoke Mediation Service that is clear, easy to navigate, and built around the needs of potential clients.
Key improvements included:
A clear explanation of how mediation works
Dedicated pages outlining the services available
Strong calls to action encouraging people to get in touch
A structure designed to answer the most common questions people search online when facing disputes
The result is a site that not only looks better but also helps visitors quickly understand how mediation can help them resolve conflicts.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
A well-designed website is only effective if people can find it.
We implemented a targeted SEO strategy to improve visibility in Google searches for terms such as:
mediation in Basingstoke
dispute resolution services
local mediation support
This ensures that individuals and organisations searching for help with disputes are more likely to discover the service online.
Marketing Strategy and Coaching
Beyond the website itself, we worked with Debbie to develop a clear marketing strategy for engaging with prospective clients.
This included guidance on:
positioning the service in the local market
identifying key referral sources and audiences
creating content that builds trust and authority
improving the clarity of service messaging
Coaching and strategic guidance help ensure the website becomes part of a broader plan to grow the practice rather than simply existing as an online brochure.
Ongoing Support and Growth
Our work doesn’t end when a website goes live. We provide ongoing marketing support, helping mediation practices maintain and develop their online presence over time.
This can include:
website updates and improvements
SEO monitoring and content development
marketing campaigns and outreach
strategic reviews to identify growth opportunities
The aim is to build a sustainable pipeline of enquiries and referrals.
Client Feedback
The most rewarding part of any project is seeing the client’s reaction.
Debbie Watkins summed it up perfectly:
“I absolutely love the new site.”
For us, that’s exactly the outcome we aim for: a website and brand that truly represent the quality of the service behind it.
